Plan Your 2015 Content Strategy Learning

Jan 26, 2015

If your New Year's resolution was to learn more about content strategy and find new opportunities to network with experts and peers, you're in luck. In our Newsletter, we catalogued a whole slew of upcoming conferences, webinars, and workshops, we well as some books you'll want to check out.

A few highlights:

Confab continues to expand. In addition to Confab Central and Confab Higher Ed, there's a new addition to the slate of events: Confab Intensive, several days of deep-dive workshops, including one I'm excited to be co-presenting, along with Kevin Nichols.

Other upcoming conferences in the first half of 2015 include Intelligent Content (I'll be presenting a session there) and the NowWhat? Conference

Speaking of Kevin Nichols, in addition to the recent release UX for Dummies, he has yet another new book out, called Enterprise Content Strategy: A Project Guide. This book is a must-have resource for all working content strategists. Kevin's book is part of the Content Wrangler Content Strategy series, which also includes my book, Content Audits and Inventories: A Handbook, Rick Yagodich's Author Experience, Val Swisher's Global Content Strategy, and, of course, The Language of Content Strategy.

Webinars are a great way to learn when you can't travel to a conference, and the Content Wrangler continues to present a great series, as do the folks at GatherContent (along with a lot of other great resources). Be sure to check out their upcoming offerings.

For a comprehensive list of all content, design, and communications-related conferences, check out this list created by Firehead.

With all these great options (and I'm sure we missed some!), you can't help but have a great year of content strategy learning.
