CAT in Action: Customer Pro Tips

One of our customers shared her story about how she's using CAT and we thought we'd share it with you. 

"The UW iSchool completely redesigned the main website last year and had only 9 months to complete the project. Because of this short timeline, I didn't get a chance to write complete, detailed metadata on a page level. When the team started looking at integrating social media sharing throughout the site after the launch, I was faced with the daunting task of having to build a new kind of content inventory. I needed to crawl the site and grab page information in order to build an inventory for social media metadata. 

I used CAT to get detailed information regarding the title, description, keywords and page images and with that, exported to Excel to build the metadata spreadsheet for 660 pages. And because I had prioritized all the sections of content, I used the exclude/include links feature to pull the URL paths I wanted first. 

Before I found this tool, I was dreading the set up process for my metadata project. But CAT was so quick and clean. In no time, I was able to dive into writing metadata. I'm pretty excited to find new uses for the tool in the near future."
